In School Adventures
Working with many of the primary and secondary schools in Devon and being the provider of choice for the Bristol Schools Camp and the London region Step Into Sport programme, Backwater Adventures is one of the leading providers of on-site activities in the region. With a fully mobile set of team challenge and team building equipment, together with fully contained archery and air rifle ranges, we are able to travel to your school to deliver an educational, informative and environmentally friendly session to you and your pupils.

In School Activities
In school adventures are sessions run on site at your school or youth group. We transport our activities to the school and run a productive, educational and safe session without the need to arrange a field trip. Every school or club is different so we will work with you to arrange the best location for the activities such as: the playing field, playground, assembly hall, sports hall or a classroom. We can also tailor our activities to suit the age group and the learning outcomes for your pupils or around areas of the national curriculum.
Activities we can provide on your school site include:
Archery - Our experienced and qualified Archery instructors spend a half day session teaching the ancient skill of shooting re-curve bows.
Air Rifles - We have had nothing but positive feedback from staff and pupils alike about our air rifles sessions. Our NSRA Air Rifle instructors will cover all the points of 'Safe Shooting' and provide expert coaching.
Bushcraft - Teams must survive by mastering the art of shelter building, traditional fire lighting and outdoor cooking.
Orienteering - Learn how to create and use orienteering maps then try to navigate your team to a series of control points around the local area.
Team Challenge - Only by working together as a team will your group be able to solve the fiendishly tricky selection of physical and mental challenges.
